Mother Suot Monuments

Mother Suot monument was built in Quang Binh to express the gratitude of the Quang Binh people to their heroic mother. With her majestic and resilient appearance, the monument evokes emotions for visitors upon every visit. The statue depicts the image of a mother holding an oar firmly in her hand, her head held high, her shoulder covered with a fluttering parachute. The lower side of the statue depicts images of storms and bombs, on the other side are images of soldiers, wounded soldiers, young volunteers, and laborers – the persons to whom Mother Suot brought the river in her valiant effort to aid and protect her country.
