Ho Chi Minh Square

Located right in the center of Dong Hoi city, Ho Chi Minh Square is a meaningful project that not only educates patriotic traditions and revolutionary spirit for young generations, but also expresses deep affection, gratitude and devotion of the Quang Binh people to President Ho Chi Minh, expressed in the Ho Chi Minh monument at the heart of the square. The monument is made of bronze, and stands about 18 meters high and weighs more than 400 tons, symbolizing the love and respect of Quang Binh people for Uncle Ho. Not only marked by its historical and cultural significance, Ho Chi Minh Square is also the place where local sports and music events take place. Most notably, every Tet and Spring season, the square is colorfully decorated with fresh flowers and symbols related to Tet, the lunar new year celebration.
